Reading articles and choosing a language
No profiling cookies, analytics or advertising tracking are active in the verified configuration. Polylang’s pll_language cookie is expressly disabled: IT/EN links and the URL path select the language. No lifetime is stated for a cookie this version does not set.
Reading articles requires no cookie consent and no Accept/Reject banner is displayed. Strictly technical cookies do not require consent, but information must still be provided. Italian Data Protection Authority FAQ, question 12.
Browser storage and connections
The IT/EN homepages were checked in a clean browser without an administrative login: no readable cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB databases or website service workers were detected. The theme does not use these tools to profile or measure readers. This observation covers the tested paths and functions, not all future integrations or browser extensions.
Fonts and images load from this website. Social widgets, embedded maps or videos and advertising integrations are not active. Readers choose whether to open external links; destination websites apply their own notices. Internal search sends terms to our server in the URL rather than to an external search service.
Restricted administrative access
This section applies only to editorial staff and authorised people who sign in to manage the website. WordPress may use technical cookies to keep them signed in and remember their working preferences. These cookies do not profile readers and are not needed by visitors who browse without signing in to the administration area. Their duration depends on the session and the “Remember me” option; actual expiry times were not measured in this review.
Controls and future changes
You can remove or block cookies and website data in browser settings. Blocking authentication cookies may prevent administrative access. You can separately withdraw newsletter consent through the Unsubscribe link in its emails.
The public configuration is checked when services change. Any later analytics, advertising or embedded service requiring consent must remain blocked until a valid choice, with refusal and withdrawal available. No such services have been activated.

Newsletter signup
The form uses only local abuse-prevention checks, with no external CAPTCHA or advertising tracking. During confirmation and unsubscription the Newsletter component may set the technical newsletter-* cookie to recognise the request and display service messages. Its configured maximum lifetime is thirty days and it may be removed earlier on unsubscription. It is not used to profile readers or track email opens or clicks. Simply reading homepages and articles does not require this cookie. Consent to receive email is separate from cookies and can be withdrawn through Unsubscribe.
